You will be warmly welcomed at the airport with our warm hospitality before beginning your journey to Sigiriya. En route, visit the Dambulla Golden Rock Cave Temple, an ancient monastery renowned for its centuries old frescoes and statues. Arrive in Sigiriya and check in to your hotel, surrounded by lush landscapes.
Start the day with a climb to the summit of the Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering magnificent views of the central plains. Travel onward through Matale, where you stop at a spice garden to see how fragrant crops such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and pepper are cultivated, and visit a Hindu temple adorned with colourful shrines. On arrival in Kandy, explore the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, then step into a gem boutique to admire Ceylon’s worldfamous precious stones and a craft workshop that reflects the island’s artisanal traditions. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance filled with drumming, costumes, and heritage storytelling.
Depart Kandy in the morning with a visit to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, celebrated for its wide collection of tropical plants and orchids. Continue through the highlands to admire Ramboda Falls, before visiting a tea plantation and factory, where travellers gain insight into the production of world-renowned Ceylon tea and taste its distinct flavours. From Nanu Oya, board the scenic train to Ella, a breathtaking journey past misty mountains and terraced fields.
Ella’s charm unfolds in the morning with a walk to Little Adam’s Peak, a visit to the graceful Nine Arches Bridge, and the cascading Ravana Falls. In the afternoon, transfer south to Yala and check in to your accommodation near the national park.
Begin early with a jeep safari in Yala National Park, home to leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and a wide variety of birdlife. Afterward, head towards the coast and step inside the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO site blending colonial charm and coastal scenery. Later, enjoy a Madu River boat safari, drifting through mangrove forests and small islets that shelter diverse wildlife.
Drive north along the southern coast. If time permits, stop at the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, where conservation efforts protect endangered sea turtles. Continue to the airport for departure with cherished memories of Sri Lanka.
